There are so many calls for scripts and it is often difficult to determine whether or not they are reputable. This list, published by Movie Maker is, of course, mostly US based but is a useful starting point. Filling up my calendar with submission dates!
The first draft of the comedy script continues to go well. Of course, it's taken a dark turn but many of the best comedies are based on physical or emotional pain. Here's hoping it will be ready for submission later this year!

I think you're absolutely right, Karin, to be choosey about which screenwriting competitions a writer submits their work for, as not all of them may necessarily be worthwhile. However, I can strongly sense the immense excitement you have for all these many approaching submission dates. I can't wait to hear how your work is received, Karin, and any feedback you get. Writing is such an incredibly exciting artform. I think at least with regard to acting, that it's hard for an actor to be truly great if the story and dialogue is pedestrian. It's wonderful, Karin, you have such passion for writing and I would very much like to read some of your scripts sometime, especially the dialogue sections.
