At the moment I'm juggling several new script ideas in my head. Some of them have been brewing there for a while, most of them dark, dramatic and unsettling. So, I was taken by surprise when I woke up yesterday with a clear idea of the first few scenes for a comedy I've been wanting to adapt from a short story. Yes, it's a dark comedy, absurd but incredibly timely.
Of course, this is first draft stage and early days but I'm strangely happy with the progress of the work. Determined to get that first draft completed by the end of the week so I can start the satisfying process of rewriting and reworking; making it sing (and hopefully producing something that will make people laugh!).
